    Hello rcsiddall...

You have not provided nearly enough information to even begin to hazard a guess as to the potential value of your Model 1894.

Please start by telling us if it is a "Rifle" or a "Saddle Ring Carbine" (SRC). If you aren't sure how to tell the difference, tell us precisely how long the barrel is, and what type of contour it has (e.g. octagon, round, or 1/2 and 1/2).

The actual $$$ value of the older Model 1894s is determined by the specific variation, and the graded condition (best expressed as the % of original factory finish remaining on the barrel, frame, stocks, and the condition of the bore).

Serial number 455767 was actually maufactured circa 1908 or later.

Just an observation - not a good idea to post the full S/N of a firearm in a public place. Even by cropping the last two digits (e.g., 4557xx), it will be close enough 99.9% of the time to identify the year of mfg. The folks who respond to posts in this forum are almost all good people and honest, but who knows who / what lurks in the shadows here and elsewhere in this electronic Never-Never Land? Especially when you are using an email address for your user name, which can be traced with varying degrees of effort . . . you run the risk of being added to someone's "shopping list."
