was wondering what the value of a hercules red dot smokeless shotgun powder 3# can in like new condition would be.

Not much . . . the powder cans which bring money are typically much earlier. I've sold a few of the kegs / cans from the post War period (stuff I bought at discount and loaded the propellants) - $5 has been about tops.

Just a suggestion. Put it on Gunbroker Collectibles section and put a starting figure of say $5.00 on it with a reserve price that you want and see if there is any interest. Who knows, someone might be willing to give you a decent price for it. Its like the previous post said, if its post WW II there is not a big market out there yet. 0 -
