Smokepole Brass Rod .................?
Would like to buy a Brass Cleaning Rod or buy a piece of Brass Rod that I could have threaded to accept,Cleaning Jag,Bullet Puller,etc. for a Muzzleloader Rifle.
It would need to be .352 inch diam or maybe a little less.Not too awful much less so as to not rattle when stored in the Ferrels under the Barrel.
A minimum length of 40 inches,but preferably 43 inch length.
Any Ideas would me much appreciated.I just puchased a Kentucky Style Smokepole and I do not like the Wood Rod that came with it. 1-Powder

3-Ball
4-Remove the Rod
5-Do Not Forget the Cap.

They should also have the brass rod or at least tell you where to find it.
If you do not find it at a gun shop, check out a local machine shop. They should be able to get it for you through one of their stel suppliers.

Try www.use-enco.com. 11/32 brass 6 foot long are $6.35 plus freight. Check their sales as sometimes brass stock is on sale.
You might also check your home improvement mega stores as they sometimes stock brass and aluminum stock in handiman, home decoration, hobby and where they keep bolts, lag screws, ect.
A lot of people are going to the fiber galss or carbon fiber rods.0 -
