Future plans for full auto handguns?
Are there any gun makers that have plans to make full auto pistols in the near future? I had the pleasure of shooting a Glock 18 at a local shooting range and I must say that it is an amazing gun. I'm not too sure about this but didn't the G18 make an appearance in the Matrix?

Beretta makes one. I am not sure who else does. It is a very specialized hand gun that would fire full auto. [8D]

The police market is very limited and the level of interest in machinepistols by the military is currently nonexistant. Weapons like the HK and FN personal defense weapons account for most of the market share with Glock and Beretta taking what is left over. The HK VP70 was an interesting concept from years ago, the Russian Stechkin and Czech made Skorpion are often found abroad, and of course the Mauser Schnellfeuer reamins the grand daddy of them all. My all time favorite machinepistol is the Trejo series of pistols made in Mexico from the early 1950 up until 1972 and were available in either 22LR or .32 ACP.

It looks quite a bit like a miniature .45 Government Model, sort of like one of the Llama Model IIIA or the newer Minimax. Only around 6,000 of these pistols were ever produced and they show up in Europe and Latin America. There are some transferable examples here in the United States, but you don't see them offered up for sale very often. Machinepistols are an interesting concept and as old as the automatic handgun itself, and in certain very special situations they serve a useful purpose.
