S&W Model 25-13

At an Oshman's store I saw a S&W Model 25-13, .45 Colt, blue with stainless cylinder, full under lug 5" barrel. It is engraved (by Laser, I think) 1 of 300, Rocky Mountain Ram, it sports an S&W logo on both sides of the frame. There were two sets of stocks one of wood and one of rubber, both of Hogue design. Is this a special run of revolvers for Oshman's Stores or did S&W just make these and distribute them at random? Is there a list somewhere on these series of special edition guns?

  I don't know if these were ordered by Oshman, but special editions are always ordered by a distributor, organization, or single customer; they are never made up by S&W & sent out at random. If Oshman doesn't know, you may never find out. No one keeps records of special editions, & fewer people CARE about them.
  
  If you want to buy it, pay no more than you would for a similar condition "plain" version of the same gun.
