AR15 a3?
I recently purchased a Colt AR15. It came in its original box with a Blue Sticker and white lettering. It reads; Colt Match Target Rifle, Match HBAR, Model #6601, Caliber 223 REM m),Serial # BD000690.
Stamped on the lower unit is Colt AR15 A3 Tacticle Carbine and the same serial # above.The upper unit is a 20" barrel with a carry handle (non removeable). It's original owner bought it at a gun show. A freind of mine said must be a mixed gun because a A3 would have a flat top with a removeable handle if any.It's not a big deal but it's my first gun and I would like to know about it.Is he correct? and also what year was it produced?
