Lyman 525 Receiver Sight

I just bought a Winchester 52 with the original Lyman 525 receiver sight. The sight moves on the shaft at the rear. I need to tighten it up. Does anyone know how to disassemble that rear section? Any disassembly instructions out there? All help will be appreciated.

  I have screwed up a few vintage sights myself, taking them apart! Seems the old guys made special tools for this stuff; sharp of them in that respect! There is a gentleman named Dave James in Tok, Ak that can help if you feel like sending it up to him. He will fix the sight and send it back for a reasonable fee. If you are interested, please e-,mail me through the forum and I will be happy to give you his number so you can discuss it with him; I would rather not give this out on open forum as you might imagine. Also, I think it is a Lyman 52S, not a 525 that you have!

  good info Kidster, but he does have a Lyman 525. The 524 and 525 were options during the 40's, maybe into the early 50's.
  They have a high/low option for mounting the aperture disc above or below the windage bar, and an extended rod to put the disc close to your eye. Expensive, exquisite, and uncommon. Optional on Win 52 and H&R 451 and 465 models.
