EAA Witness .45 ammo question
Witness owners, I've got one coming in this week and I was wondering if y'all can point me towards the ammo you have found to work best in this pistol. Thanks!

Congrats to you sir. You have chosen a fine weapon. In my opinion the best inexpensive guns out there. I have a .45 blued steel frame and a .40 cal wonderfinish steel frame and I wouldn't part with either. Now to your question. Everything has shot good in mine. I started out shooting hardball only for the first 400 rds to break it in. I have used S&B ammo, Fioochi 230 hardball, 200 gr hardball. Federal, Winchester Silvertips, GI surplus (Mildly corrosive) MFS from Hungary, CCI Hardball and hollowpoints, and American Eagle 230 hardball and 185 hollowpoints. Corbonn ammo also, and everything has worked flawlessly. I think if you break it in properly you should be able to bet your life on it. Good luck and hope this info helps.[:)] 0 -
I agree with royce38. For inexspensive practice ammo you will not go wrong wit S&B. You hand gun will shoot everything from 185gr hollow points to 230gr ball. [8D]

You might also check with Wolffsprings and get a stiffer recoil spring for it. I've found that the factory spring is a little light for the .45 versions, ya get some frame slap.
