shooting long slide colts

A friend of mine asked me these questions, and I was not sure so I thought I would ask here. his questions are:
"on the 38acp
ammo... Starline makes 38 super brass, but not 38acp... Will that work?? Will it need to be trimmed?
I think I may be to able to use 1 or 2 of my current 38 short colt dies in reloading... since, I suspect that finding dies will be as hard as finding brass... any
Suggestions?
I would also like to go ahead & get a couple of boxes of low power
loaded ammo for the gun.... Do you know of anyone that mfgs lite loaded ammo for the 38acp?"

  To the best of my knowledge, 38 Super and 38 ACP are dimensionally identical (just different powder loads). I have an old Colt 1902 Military that feeds reloaded 38 Super brass just fine.

  You can buy a (3) die set, of Lee Carbide 38 Super/38 ACP Dies from Midway www.midwayusa.com for $19.99.
  
  Some reloading manuals have data specifically for 38 ACP ( Modern Reloading by Richard Lee ). Or you can find it on-line.
  
  You might check the "Old Western Scrounger's" on-line site, he might carry ammo specifically for 38 ACP?

  38 ACP and 38 SUPER same case different head stamp. older reloading manuals give loading info for 38acp "lyman 39-42" if you need this info let me know. Karl
