You sure you ain't thinking about a "Lawman", or possibly somebody put a Lawman 2" barrel on a Trooper?

I sure Rufe's on the right tract. I remember years ago Numrich offered 2" bbls that would work on the Trooper and the Lawman.

    Love them Pre-64's!!!!-Bob

The original Colt "Trooper" was made from 1953-69 in .357 and .22, but only with 4" and 6" barrels.

The "Trooper MK III" was made from 1969-83 with 4" 6" and 8" barrels, no 2".

Rufe Snow: Thanks you are right it is a Colt Lawman 2"Barrel not a Trooper the guy told me on the phone it was a Trooper and he wanted $300.00 I couldn't find it in my book I knew you guys would know Then when I seen the gun it has Lawman stamped on the barrel! So I passed on the Gun.

I had one and it would group a circle. It wasn't Python quality by any measure and I'm not even sure it was a poor copy of a Trooper, either. I was happy to trade it off. It did have the "nice" Colt trigger feel, tho. I think you can find a better shooter in a S&W or Ruger. My opinion
