What's Scrap Cartridge Brass Going For?
Where I live there is only (1) recycleing facility.
This I believe is due to various environmental & liability considerations.
I have about 50 lbs of clean, scrap cartridge brass. They offered me 16 cents a pound for it. I believe this is way to low.
How much is it selling for, in your areas?

We're getting about $0.18/lb. here in Shreveport, LA. Aluminum is going for $0.26/lb. Scrap steel/iron is going for $0.015/lb.
Prices vary from week to week, so the price you were offered is pretty much in line with what we have here.

I get between 30-40 cents per pound here in Ca. Make sure there is no steel in there and it looks clean and the recyclers will jump at it. 0 -
The price you're getting isn't bad if you don't live near a smelter. I have a feeling that as fuel prices rise scrap will fall.
If it's any consolation I took a small pail, about 25lbs in last winter and got $4.00 for it.

Thanks, for the heads up.

For what it's worth, Last year I sorted all my brass and made a list of what I had, went to a gun show and asked a few ammo/reloader dealers what they give for it? 1000 empty/ 140-.222 reloads! these shot as good as any Rem or Win. Might be worth a try! Hope this helps?
