After the last 3-4 months worth of experience with Taurus customer service I would NEVER, EVER buy another Taurus gun.

I had planned on purchasing the 24/7 - but after the horrible and irresponsible customer service experience I will be buying a Sig model.

I own a 627 Tracker Ti. I had problems with the gun (continually loose ejector rod and the yolk screw fell out...somewhere...). Taurus failed to address my concerns about the ejector rod. I was told everything was fine, it had been fixed...When I received the gun back the first thing I checked was the ejector rod. It was loose right out of the box. In addition, the grip fell of during cleaning because now the grip screw was missing.

I just received the gun back...but do not fully trust it as I should...phone calls and even a certified letter to the Taurus USA CEO were unanswered.

Just my experience with the company.

Buy a Sig. Buy anything else.

I just got one in the shop the other day. It is a 45 ACP, and it seems to be a good enough gun (I haven't fired it though). It seems to be a little complicated to tear-down. Taurus claimed that this gun was going to be marketed towards LE, but I don't think the quailty is high enough for LE use. If you are looking for a cheap shooter, then I would consider it, if you are looking for an absolute reliable gun, then go for the Sig, you can't go wrong with their quality.

I just got a pt 24/7 (9mm) -- I'm having some troubles with it -- the slide doesn't reset all the way 100% of the time. Sometimes after I fire it, the slide will stick out about 1/16 of an inch -- which means I can't fire it again until I press it in manually with my thumb.

Needless to say, I'm taking it back to the dealer to get repaired/looked at. Anyone else have similar problems?
