36" Win 37A ?

Does anybody know if Winchester actually manufactured the 37A 12 gauge with 36" barrel? I've checked two books and neither mentions any limited edition 36" barrel. I suppose people with very deep pockets may have special ordered such a barrel, but I can't imagine why.

Henry, I had to crack open a few books myself and I did indeed find a 36" barrel mentioned in Modern Gun Values (an old ninth edition) along with 25", 26", 28", 30", and 32" barrel lengths for the Model 37A.

HenryO: I agree with Mark, the 37A could be ordered with a 36in. Goose barrel. It was chambered for 3 in shells, and will bring a little premium over the other 12 ga. gun. about 10% more. Regardes Dave 0 -
Yes, they once made the 37A w/ 36" barrel….. I own one.
