winchester model 42 .410 pump shotgun 3" in. mag.

my father is really wanting to find out what this shotgun is worth..it is in fine condition. I would like to find someone who may have some input on this subject matter. I know that it is old but it dont look it... and it also is a winchester..that speaks for itself. The winchester model 42 .410 pump shotgun 3" in. mag. is something I have yet to see in any ones collection..

CAN ANYONE GUIDE ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION?

    The 42 come a in several grades.
    Deluxe,Skeet, Trap, High Grade, besides the plain 42
    A plain jane would be $500 to $750 plain barrel Vent, matted rib more

    Just viewed a High grade that was 99%. NO reblue or refinish. Price was $4700. ( forty seven hundred )

    The 3" 410 shell is not called a magnum. Just 3" .410.

    Had a 42 Field-Grade come up 2 weeks ago in Manitoba for $700CDN. That was the asking price and I haven't persued it any further yet...might be able to get it a little cheaper yet. I had a chance to paw it for a while and it seems to be approx.80%.
