Shipping to Canada? MARK HELP!
I have a bolt action rifle on auction now and the high bidder is from Canada. What is the best way to ship the gun? Since the gun will have already cleared customs can it go right to the buyer or must it be sent to a Canadian equal of an FFL holder for the buyer to pickup and do paper work? THANKS

Refer to the Federal Firearms Regulations Reference Guide (ATF P5300.4) page 89. All that's necessary to get started is for you to file a Form 9 with the State Dept.
This is why it's a good idea to specify "US only" when listing firearms for sale.

I am in the process of doing the samething as you are. The difference is I am shipping from the states to Canada, and the rifle I am shipping is going through the custom process on the state side or the Canadian side. You can ship your rifle direct to the Canadian buyer. I got this info first hand from our State Department. If you need any more info please feel free to contact me at bkt76rpt79@aol.com
