Want to Build a Colt Special Purpose Rifle
I'm a BIG fan of America's Army and have been assembling a collection of firearms that are used in the game. Currently I am working on building the Special Forces SPR (Special Purpose Rifle).
Anyone know where I can find a complete upper to add to my Colt SP1 lower?
Here's a pic of an Airsoft one that was built.

Thanks!

what type of upper are you looking for? A1 w/triangle grip, A2 w/ 1:12 or 1:7, flat top (A3-A4) w/picatinny rail....may have what you want but need more info.[;)]

I could be wrong, but it thought Knights Armorment made the SPR [?] .If you really want to do something, you'll find a way ...

... If you don't, you'll find any excuse.0 -
Advanced Armament is one of 3 MFG that made the suppressor. Crane is the original manufacturer (current, as well) of the SPR for the military.
I found two sites that sells the parts to make one, but I don't have the time or the skill.0 -
Check out these two photos. This complete upper is EXACTLY what I want. I don't need the scope or scope mount.

2ndchance,
These are the specifications for the rifle upper that you want to build. The parts listed are from real firearms manufacturers NOT 'airsoft' or replica arms manufacturers. All of this information is available with a search function.
GK Special Purpose Rifle MOD 0
There has been a lot of Special Purpose Rifle (SPR) replica kits surfacing of late. What makes our version so special you ask? We have developed, in cooperation with Armored Gallery of Japan, a rifle that uses authentic PRECISION REFLEX Inc. (PRI) and A.R.M.S. SPR parts that are exactly the same as on the real SPR.
The gunkulture SPR comes with authentic Precision Reflex (PRI) and A.R.M.S. SPR parts such as:
Real PRI SPR carbon fiber handguard
Real PRI front flip up sight
Real PRI Big Latch
Real A.R.M.S. full length SWAN rail
Real A.R.M.S. rear sight
Custom steel outer barrel and flash hider
Real Bushmaster full stock modified to accept large 9.6v battery
GK re`inforced gearbox with 7mm bearings
Custom teflon coated metal body
GK Expert Level internal upgrade, please specify desired velocity with .20 g bb: 300-450 fps
More ...
The SPR (Special Purpose Receiver/Rifle), a designated marksman offshoot of the M4 SOPMOD Kit Block 2 update. While it was originally intended for modified upper receivers to be procured as an off-the-shelf item, the recent War on Terror resulted in a number of SPR being assembled on an emergency basis by Navy (NSWC Crane) and Army AMU armorers for issue to SOCOM operators.
The upper receiver is a mix of military and commercial parts, which is then mated to a M16A1 lower. (Less commonly seen is a SPR upper mounted to a M4A1 lower receiver complete with a collapsible stock.) The Mk 12 Mod 0 SPR is recognizable primarily for its PRI free-float forearm. The Mk 12 Mod 1 use a KAC free-float RAS forearm. The Mod 1 is broken down into the SPR/A and SPR/B depending upon which Leupold Vari-X III scope is mounted (3.5-10x versus 2.5-8x, respectively). Army built variants of the SPR are reportedly known as the SPR/C. These appear to be byproducts of the US Army Infantry Center's earlier proposal for a Squad DMR.

In essence, this replica was assembled from parts that are not available as a complete upper. They did it just for the looks. You will have to get the parts and assemble your own or have a gunsmith do it for you.
Now, if you want a finished upper that can be purchased and mounted to your lower, you will have to contact:

I am a KAC fan, and if you are looking for the MK11 KAC now offers a civvy version of the SEAL Stoner rifle system near complete (will cost though). 7.62 not 5.56 - like most I prefer my target to go down and stay that way, and will trade HP% for accurate punch.
