Izhmash .308 AK-type?

Whatever happened to the supply of Izhmash (sp?) Arsenal .308s with the pistol grip AK-type config?

  Maybe they decided that the .308 is too expensive to produce as opposed to the standard 7.62x39

  No, I found some info on the 'net tonight. Apparently a batch was made from Saigas and AK parts, though why they decided to rename them Izhmash is not clear, since it seems, well, dishonest given they were not factory guns at all.
