Whats the best most powerful 9mm ammo u can buy for a G17?

    Glockster, many ammos are good for different things. Self-Defense, Target. I mean what are you looking to do? If it is basic shooting which is most likely I would choose any ammo that is cheap.

    This is for self defense. I was looking at cor-bon right here http://mysite.elixirlabs.com/index.php?uid=12665&page=1609 Im undecided on what to pick. Im looking for something with a lot more velocity then what cor-bon offers but something that can still work with a G17.

    Corbon is a good round. I personally carry a Glock 23, and a Kel-tec P-40 and I use Federal Hydroshock hollow point 165gr. Buy a couple of boxes of each type of round that you are thinking about and send some down range. Might be a little expensive but you need to know which round cycles well, how fast you can get back on target after each round, what the muzzle flash is during night firing, accuracy, and penetration. My Glock works well with all the ammo I have tried in it so far, No FTF, FTE, and I can keep a good group rapid fire. I say get about fifty rounds of each and have a fun day at the range.[;)]

    First of all it's not the most powerful 9mm for a "glock" but the most powerful 9mm bullet in general...You will here several opinions about which is the best. It may be a decent idea to ask a cop as they train a great deal with the ammo that they carry and they SHOULD know the most effective types of ammo as they are supposed to carry the good stuff.
