  The G3 is a standard German service rifle, delayed blowback in operation and selective fire. It is chambered for the 7.62mm NATO cartridge and was derived from the Spanish CETME rifle. The G3 was produced by Heckler and Koch as well as Rheinmetall. The HK-33 was a Heckler and Koch design which is something along the lines of a downsized G3 rifle chambered for the 5.56mm cartridge and went into series production in 1965 and met with modest sucess in military sales, although no where near the levels of the G3. The HK-93 is a semiautomatic version of the Model 33 selective fire rifle for commercial sales (although there was a very early 5.56mm HK semiautomatic rifle was marketed as the G43 in the 1960's). Importation of the HK-93 was discontinued in the United States in 1989. There is more to the story but you'll need to be more specific in your questions about these rifles.
