    Could that possibly by N. R. Davis? If so they merged with Crescent to become Crescent-Davis just before Stevens bought out the company in 1932. Just a guess.

    N.R DAVIS&SONS,Was formed in 1853byNATHAN RUSSELL DAVIS,who interestly had 4 daughters no sons,They made a decent utility grade hammer and hammerless shotguns bearing his name and many many others for Sears and many hardware stores.In 1917 merged with Warner Arms becomming Davis-Warner Arms,became inactive about 1921they again merged with CresentArms ,then soon after bought out by Stevens Arms.     Do Me a favor...Breakdown the Barrels and see if there might Be a Belguim Proof Mark under the Breech End of the Barrels.....Seems to me that I saw an Old Double barrel Shotgun with N.P. Davis..It was a Belguim KNOCKDOWN...Capitolizing on the Davis Name...Sold in Hardware Stores and Mail Order Houses...The name was close enough to catch the unwary.....Its possible that You have one of these guns...?
