Kydex Holsters For Glocks
Anyone have experience with them? What is the general consensus on them? Do they hold the gun in place securely?

I like the Fobus belt holsters. The hold the gun securely and don't move around on the belt. I have one that I use with my Glock 17 and 22. I also have one of their paddle holsters for my Glock 30. I don't find it to be as stable as the belt holsters. 0 -
I have Fobus paddle holsters for my Glock 17, Beretta 92, and 1911 .45
They all fit and hold the gun securely. I like the paddle model because it can be put on and taken off without removing the belt.

I don"t believe that the Fobus holsters are made out of the Kydex plastic material? They use a different type of plastic, that is less expensive.
This is why the manufacturers that do use the Kydex plastic material for their holsters, have to charge considerably more.
Incidentally I've owned and used a number of Fobus paddle holsters over the years, they've given me good service.0 -
I have an Uncle Mike's kydex holster for my Glock. I like the Uncle Mike's one better than the Fobus because you can adjust the tension. There's no adjustment on the Fobus, and I think down the road it'll get loose, and there's no way to tighten it up.

I believe BladeTech makes an inexpensive Kydex holster for some Glock models in right hand.
Glocks work just fine in Fobus holsters, but I think BladeTechs are preferable. Kydex is just a bit faster than leather but slightly tougher on gun finish--not usually an issue with a service gun like the Glock.

Yup, hold the gun nicely. Alittle harder on the finish, but like mballai says not much worry on the glock. What kind of carry are you looking for? Winter, spring, summer? The one I have is a paddle and sits kind of high. 0 -
I have been using a Fobus for IDPA, It will take the finsh off of a glock in a short time.. Thats about the only problem with the holster. Holds the gun very good.[:)]

Got an Uncle Mikes Kydex for my 1911, I really like it. But I really think you should pick what holster best fits you, you'll just have to try some out and choose the one that YOU like best.
