Remington 700 Titanium
I was looking at purchasing a remington titanium in 308. I remember there was some comments made about the titanium action and steel bolt friction, i think it had something to do with the lock up, but I cannot remember them exactly.
Is there any mojor problem with this rifle?
Thank you

Jeff,
Are your referring to similar metals galling each other under friction and pressure? If so, that's why manufacturers make the bolt out of one type of material and the receiver out of a completely different material make-up. Generally, the two parts are of different hardnesses and toughness. It is also recommended to apply a small amount lubricant to the rear of the bolt lugs to further decrease the possibility of galling.
I hope that was what you were looking for...
