ANYTIME. IT IS YOUR GUN, JUST BE SURE YOUR SALE IS LEGAL IN YOUR STATE.

I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.

There is no "holding period" for firearms under Federal law. There may a state or local requirement in some areas, but generally, when they restrict guns sales, their laws are usually directed to registration & permission to make the transfer.

If, however, you buy & sell firearms in a way that suggests that you are "dealing without a license", you could be in trouble.

Thanks, I guess that makes sense... all I can see that's happening with all these FFL interstate transactions is increases in gun prices. This guy gets 20 bucks that guy wants 30 bucks, ect. If you are checked out and are deemed okay to purchase/own a handgun, why all the additional red tape..oh well, I suppose it's just another case of: "HELLO,WE'RE FROM THE GOVERNMENT, WE'RE HERE TO HELP YOU".

If a dealer buys a firearm for his personal use, he can sell it at any time. the lenght of time he owns the gun determines which book the transaction goes in. If it is owned for less than one year, he must consider this a sale for the business, and the form must be filled out and the check done. The sale must be booked in the regular(business) disposition book. If older than a year, the name and address of the purchaser must be logged in the personal firearms disposition book. As for a regular person buying a gun, I am not sure. I'd have to check.

Just don't make it look like a straw purchase.
