Marlin or Browning.
I want to add a new specimen to my gun collection. I have 2 options as a Marlin 1894c .38/.357 new and a Browning Belgium auto takedown rifle almost new.
The Marlin is most powerful and big, but as i want something well made, nice details and with a higher collector value what could you choose? Details on the Marlin are fair and a little cheap probably a modern version of the classic cowboy. Well if someone could help me I would appreciate it. Thank you.

New Browning Hi-Power mis-fired 10% of the time. They said to send it for repairs and they would re-imburse me for shipping and insurance.
I sent both clip's in thinking that may be a problem, because it is desinged to not fire without a clip in place.
Well they sent it back with only 1 clip.
They said I only sent 1.
5 Phone calls did no good. They claim I only sent 1.
Twice I was told to send copies of my Shipping & Insurance receipts and they would re-imburse me for that.I still never received anything.
no reimbursement
no more Browning merchandise
for me.

I depends on your intended use. If big game hunting, then I'd go with the Browning. If a walk-a-round rifle for pig hunting, short range dear, self defense, plinking, then the Marlin would at least be an equal. Wall hanging, it's a toss up. 0 -
Pure collector value, I think the Browning would win hands down....I'm no expert, but thats my 2 cents...however, I really love the marlin levers I've shot, wouldnt hesitate to reccomend one....

For about the third time guys, it's BELGIAN Browning, not BELGIUM Browning! HA!HA! Anyway, I love the little Browning auto and a Belgian made one is very desireable. As for fun to shoot and as an everyday shooter, the Marlins are great little guns and I would be much less fearful of using it as a "walk-around" gun than the Browning which shoud be used less because of its' intrinsic collector value! Both great guns but for entirely different purposes. The Browning is, and likely always will be worth more$
