Stripping and cleaning a Kahr?
I ordered a Kahr MK40 in stainless. I seem to recall some posters saying that this pistol was difficult to take apart to clean. Is that true? If so, what would you recommend?

It is not difficult. In some of the paper work that come with the hand gun they put the wrong take down instuctioins. If this happens just call and they cotrrect the situation right away. It is a very good hand gun one of the best for CCW. My 2 cents [8D]

For Gap1916,
Greg, your two cents is worth a lot. I have wanted a conceal carry pistol for some time. I had a Ruger 94 (.40 S&W) but it was too big. Sold it and bought a Sig 229. Its okay for the winter but two big in the summer. I wanted something in the Walther PPK size but with more punch. I have read what posters have said about Kahr on here for over a year. Then, I held one and that was it. Fits perfect. Hope to pick it up this Saturday. I got the MK40 in stainless. I am really excited!0 -
Not at all difficult, after the first time you won't need instructions again. Very similar take down to a Ruger Auto by the way! 0 -
takedown is very simple. You just might need something like the rubber grip on a screwdriver or equivalent to pop out the slide stop. The rest is very cut and dry. 0
