Look under SAR2 or SAR-2. You might find one or two here on GB.

Parts kits are, I believe, still available from K-VAR. The SAR Bulgarian guns are the only ones I know of that were complete weapons.

    "When I cease learning...I'm dead"(Me)
    "Power corrupts...Absolute power corrupts absolutely"(Descartes?)
    "History is written by winners"(Patton)
"You get a lot farther with a kind word and a gun than you do with a kind word alone!"(Al Capone)
"There is nothing lower than the human race...except the French" (Samuel Clemens)

There are still a few of the Romanian ones available, if you know where to look. Contact me and I might have a few suggestions.

I got the Bulgarian in .223, it was sold to me as an Izmash AK-47 (7.62X39), went and picked it up and saw Bulgaria under the Fore grip, then I was really puzzeled when a 7.62 would not go in the chamber, the receiver was marked 7.62 but then I found out it was .223. I was mad at first because I had no idea what it was. Now I think I have something I might want to keep but would like to get one just like it in 5.45x39.

I have a guy who wants to sell a Romak II with the Bulgarian parts kit and 6 mags for $680. That seems high to me. Is it a good price? The ammo is more expensive. Are there any advantages to this rifle over a SAR1? I could get a SAM7 for $600.

$680? Jeeze I have at least a good $800 invested in my Sar1 but know I couldn't sell it for more than $425-$500 if I was lucky. Check out:

For info on that Romak II. Sounds like this guy is trying to get out of his gun what he put into it. When you get down to it these guns are worth what they sell for unmodified.

    Check out those stocks $89-100.:
