I can help you with the Escort, sold one a while back.

Depending on condition and if you have the S & W accessories that were sold with the pistol, your looking at $175 - $275.

Do a search on the gun auctions/ brokerage sites, their's usually a bunch of Escorts on them. You'll get a feel for what their going for.

    Greetings,

Thank you Rufe-Snow, I will try that.

Does anyone know about the Ithaca?

I have seen many SXS Ithacas on the web but, I still have not been able to determine what I have.

My Dad had a gunroom in his house with about a hundred guns,(maybe more), and several types of loading machines. He sold most of them before he died but, kept several "top end" guns for his sons.

I plan on teaching my daughter how to shoot when she gets older and I would like to be able to give her some history of what she is shooting.

I have not seen "The Shooters Bible" in many years, would that give me what I am looking for?

I don't want to bring the guns out of state to the Kittery Trading Post, in ME., (Where most of them were purchased), and bother them when I have no idea of selling them.

I plan on cataloging all the firearms, Barretas, Ludics, etc. as well as the antiques. (I Know I have not spelled the names right).

If you guys/gals can help me on occasion, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you in advance,
    Jason

    Greetings Duckhunter,

    Thank you!

As I post this, I am watching two males chase a female around my pond.

It makes it hard to bring my daughter duck hunting.

However, duck with orange sauce is hard to beat.

    Hello Jason,

Your Ithaca SxS is a NID (New Ithaca Double) that was made in the mid to late 1940s... don't know what else you want to know about it.

    Bert..

I know you can help him with it as you seem to be the 'resident' Ithaca NID expert. Again, thanks for the help about MY Ithaca NID.

A friend will post your bail. A good friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying, "man that was fun!"

    Jason...

For the Ithaca SxS, it does not have a Model number... just a model name "New Ithaca Double" (NID).

    Greetings TRAP55,

I am going away until May 1,2004.

I am going to inventory all the firearms my Dad left after his passing and I will let you know what the model is.

I don't know if my Mom would sell it or give it to one of her 4 boys.

I am a new member of this board and I know that it's not to be used as a "for sale" site. This is not what I am here for. I just want to know what some of these firearms are and might be worth.

I am not against selling a firearm that none of us kids will use, or wants but, I do not want to violate the rules of this board.

    Thank you,

    J.C.P.
