"GEM" Pellet gun
I've got a GEM pellet gun (or possibly BB). It is very rusty but says "Made in Germany" on the top of the hexagonal portion of the barrel, the muzzle end is round. GEM is stamped near the muzzle end of the hexagonal and about half way are stamped 2 crossed rifles. It would appear to cock (or arm) by cracking it open as per modern pellet guns. Any info would be appreciated. It has a short wood stock attached to the receiver by a splint of sheet steel in a semi-tube shape.

In my references it's noted that the tradmark "crossed rifles" on the JEM air guns was a product of the Friedrich Langenhan Co.
They were a noted German arms manufacturer, who made various airguns as late as the 1930's, along with various type of firearms.

Thanks Rsnow! Mine is stamped GEM not Jem but it is also stamped Made in Germany so I presume it's an English translation. I appreciate the info greatly. Cheers, Plads
ps. how's the heat down there?0 -

My mistake. it's spelled Gem in the reference.

My airgun is very simple and quite weird looking. It belonged to the uncle of an 81year old friend of mine. What is your reference book please as I'd like to look it up. or maybe I can post a pic. Thanks Rufe-snow.plads
ps. I'm not 81.0 -
