I would like to know when this Smith & Wesson pistol was made. The model number is 1076 and the serial number is TFE05xx.

  Std. Catalog S/N info is a jumble in this letter prefix area so my best guess is around 1990. To know for sure you'll probably need to contact S&W.

  I found the same jumble that CM did.Never did find that exact prefix in the serial number list.. Under the general description it said mfg dates 1990-1993. In another chart in the back shows the 1076 was introduced in 1991.Not a lot of help.
