Weaver T-10 scope help!
I ran across a Weaver T-10 scope, the guy wants $150 for it. I'm look for a good varmint scope for a project rifle I'm building, but to be honest I was leaning toward a Leupold. But this is a nice price for a scope that could fill the bill for me. I've never heard of it, so my bottom line is ...IS this scope worth while? ...and for $150? Anybody have some knowledge? THX! Appreciate the help! ...Mark

Stick with Leupold or Burris. In optics, more than most things, you get what you pay for. You just cannot get $300 quality for $150. The Weaver scopes are decent for modestly prices scopes (at least the Grand Slam is) but not nearly the equal of Leupold or Burris.
The T-10 was built between 1977-1984. Field of view is 11 feet at 100 yards, eye relief is 3.5 inches, length 15 inches, weight is 18 oz. Given all that you can certainly get a better scope. There have been enormous changes in optics in the past 20 years. Value is $125-$175.
