Glock 31 Early Run "357 SIG" on slide.
Years back I purchased a 31 when they were first starting to show up. The one I have has NO finger grooves (just like all prior Glocks) and "357 SIG" on the slide. Now, I hear, that soon after Glock put these out, they took the name "SIG" off and just mark them "357". Then I heard from a Glock driver that it is rare because of the strait grip and SIG on the slide, however, I've looked around for information about this, but can't find any reference. Does anyone out there know about the early 31's? Any leads to references would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!

If you post your question to the 357 SIG forum on GlockTalk, I'm sure the folks there will be happy to give you chapter and verse on your pistol.

I heard it was because Glock didn't want anyone elses name on their guns. I have an early Glock 23 that is marked .40 SW. The later & current ones are not marked that way just .40. 0
