Taking High Caps Higher?

While not an expert in this area, I think modifying a magazine in such a way would be a pretty serious no-no! 10 rounds is 10 rounds and if done after '94 would present a serious violation of the Clinton ban. Now, after this September?!?!? Wait and see what happens with the ban re-up and THEN think about doing something like that. Also, the extra weight of 100 rounds of 9mm in a semi-automatic sidearm is dubious at best! It might be like pointing a cinder block and trying to take careful aim with it!(HA!HA!). What about a flexfeed with a belt or back-pack mounted ammo can, like seen on a Mini-gun? It would still limit your mobility and speed onto target but would no doubt be less cumbersome than carrying it in your hand. Sometimes I get to thinking fancifully too! I suppose this is the reason they came up with beta mags for M-16 carbines for. What the hell, ideas have to come from somewhere!!

Naw, I'm talking modifying pre-ban mags to hold more. Weld three together or sumpin' crazy like that.

Practicality, naw, I'm talking fun, practical is a single four barrel set-up. Fun is a dual four barrels or six two barrels.

Extra weight? You just gotta shoot faster and lighten 'er up.[:D]

Hell, in that case I'm at a loss! As far as pre-ban modification goes I haven't a clue! I still like the idea of a mini-gun like feed system for a side-arm...fanciful and impractical but high on the potential fun scale!!

I think you would be building a new mag, and therefore it would be illegal. You can legally modify an exsisting mag to fit into another gun, as long as it will still fit in the gun for which it was intended. I think welding mags together would be equal to buying a pre-ban reciever and putting a bayonet lug, and folding stock on it. The BATFE would not look kindly on that.
