Is this soft nose ammo?

I purchased a steel spinner target from Cabelas. It is OK for all soft nosed rifle ammo up to 30.06. I took it to the range today and shot it with Wolf hollow point 7.62 X 39 (AK and SKS ammo). It is apparently NOT soft point ammo because it put huge a huge dent in the target.
So I have some JSC Russian Barnaul ammo that says it is for hunting. It also says it is full metal jacket. So I assume it is not soft point ammo? Thanks.

  You are correct the wolf hollow point is not soft point. Look for the SP marking on the ammo. HP and SP are not the same.

  Soft point ammo is a bullet with an exposed led tip.
