S&W mod. 10 and 19

Is there a web site that would explain the meaning of the numbers
used behind the various models.... for example Model 10-4 or 10-5 etc..etc...

If the numbers stand for changes made to the firearm, where can one
find that information...

  Yes they do relate to changes some are very minor others not.
