Refinishing a rifle?
I want to put a new finish on a M44 but don't want to shell out a 100 and up to have it done. What are some other finishes that I might have over looked? I've heard of some finishes you bake on, is thier anything like this? Something I can do with out all the tanks or any special equipment.

I Recommened K.G Gunkote, you can apply it over a sandblasted or medium grit sanded surface. I apply it with a testors air brush 15 bucks at wally world and then bake it in a gas outdoor grill with excellent results. http://www.kgcoatings.com/.
heres a vz24 in .45acp i finished with it, im well pleased with the results.....

Did you convert that to .45acp? If so, how did you do it? That is nice. 0 -
Thanks... I conveted it Using a kit from www.rhinelandarms.com comes with an e.r shaw barrel mag well adapter and ejector for 150 bucks you just need a 1911 mag and mag catch assembly along with your action. simple conversion no chamber reamer needed it has a lock ring on the barrel to adjust headspace.

Rhineland does advertise on my website... but i dont get any kick back what so ever weather they sell or not.
now having said that . i love this rifle its one of the most fun to shoot firearms i own. VERY quite report at 100yrds you can actually hear the round hitting the target [ thump ], shoots m.o.a and is extremmly light. it impressed the hell outta me it was blowing huge chunks out the back of 12'' round tress at 100 yards.
sorry D@D didnt mean to hijack your post
