Gentlemen, I have a mod. 54 Win. 30-o6, that is a 96% gun. The ser.No. is 456--. Can anyone tell me when it was made and how much it is worth? Also, I need a reciever sight for this gun. Help!! 0 -
Hello remnutt...
Circa 1934. The receiver sight was a Lyman No. 48 ([?] not exactly sure of the specific no.). Does your 54 have a barrel mounted rear sight or is the dovetail slot blanked?

Hello Bert, there is a slot blank in the rear sight dove tail. The stock has been cut to accomidate the reciever sight. Know where I might find one? 0 -
