    Hello JohnP...

Are you saying that this is an exact reproduction of a Winchester Model 1866 chambered for .44 Henry Rimfire[?] Or is it chambered for 44-40 or something else[?] As far as I know, Uberti has made LOTS of 1866 Winchester Yellow Boy rifles and carbines... they are very easy to find - http://www.uberti.com/firearms/1866-yellowboy.tpl

How do You know its Maufacturers Sample Gun, let alone 1 of 5..?
Uberti has made THOUSANDS of Yellow Boy's...and as far as I know are still cranking them out...! You'll need a letter from Uberti to substantiate your gun......I wish You Well.....and welcome to the Ask the Experts Forum....

Well John, gotta agree with Bert and the Captn'.My only thought was that you might be referring to a cut-a-way sample that was used to demonstrate the internal mechanism. While these are really neat, I cant imagine a Uberti would be more than an interesting novelty. In any case it would recquire factory documentation to show it was authentic.

    Love them Pre-64's!!!!-Bob
