Value of Marlin Westpoint Limited Edition Rifle
I am wondering if you can give me an idea of the value of an old rifle that belonged to my uncle. I am liquidating his estate.
The rifle is a Westpoint model Limited edition GA22. On the stock, there is an embedded copper disk the size of a quarter engraved with the image of a wolfe howling at the moon. The caption reads " Great American Game Series Limited Edition."
I'd appreciate any help you can provide regarding its value.

These Westpoint guns (speaking generally) were make by Savage or Marlin and value is determined by thier shooting value as opposed to the collector value. There is not a thing in the world WRONG with them, it's just that they are generally less valuable than the same model brand named by the original manufacturer. I am at work on lunch so I do not have my books or computer with me but a safe bet would be in the 100 to 150 dollar range in excellent condition. Another problem...as second tier branded guns, they are often not even listed in the books at all! Hope someone out there can offer you more info.

If new in box with all papers and never fired it might have a collector value giving it a small premium over used condition. If fired, condition determines value, but as indicated above $100-$150.
