my first rifle at age 7 was hamilton rifle, model 027, 22cal. s&l, pat. pending oct 30 1900 - aug 13,1907. still have it, and i am wondering if anyone can tell me what it's worth. i would classify it in fair to low good still shootable condition, but a expert i am not. just curious, any help appreciated. dave. 0 -
Hi, welcome to the forum.
In fair conditon your 027 has a book of approx. $150 so lets range it at $100-150 to allow for condition.

i would agree with the above esimation of value. while HAMILTON "boys" rifles have a loyal following, they do not bring a premium unless in perfect collectors grade condition, or an especialy rare variant. there are always a few for sale at auction here on GB and you can check them out to give you an idea of whats out there, in what condition, and at what price. best regards, mike.

I agree with what I've see written here but would add that demand is a bit regional with these guns. I grew up about 25 miles from Plymouth Mi. and they are of course a bit better respected in that area. An awful lot of youngsters cut their teeth on these little gems and nostalgia being what it is, you can find the right person at the right time occasionally. Still, I would not expect to get a WHOLE lot for it and would try to hand it down for the family! Grandpa's gun is always infinitely 'cooler' than anyone elses!

good solid advice from all three of you and i am in agreement. unless i was starvin dead broke, i could'nt part with it. thanks aplenty! 0 -
This ones a little high but seems to be in good condition. I have several models of these, most were bought for less than $150.
