Hi,experts, I'm thinking of listing an inherited S&W 14-3 single action 38 with a six inch barrel for 200 and no reserve. That's what I've gotten from reading a gun trader's guide at Walmart. The gun is in like new condition, probably was fired about 100 times. Am I in the ballpark?

Likely a good place to start although I think it should run up a little bit from there. Keep in mind that there are shipping costs involved though, so why would a bidder pay 275 plus shipping next day (all handguns must travel by trackable air shipment ) and his FFL's transfer fee when he could simply buy one in the store for perhaps 300. @\That said, I think 200 is a good start and maybe you'll get a little more!

Agree. Unless you are an FFL or have a friend that is, handgun shipping costs are high as you basically have Fedex or UPS and while UPS will let them go Second Day Air they can be a real pain in the "shorts" to deal with.

FFL's can ship handguns to each other via USPS Priority Mail which is very economical.

If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!

Are you sure you want to get rid of it if you inherited it?? Once it is gone you can't get it back. You will be getting rid of memories and one of the best shooting revolvers ever.

Be sure that you don't have one of the more valuable variations, such as: target trigger, target hammer, & target grips, or single action only. If you do, be sure to mention them in your description.
