How to tell what the chokes are on a shotgun
I have a churchill windsor I in 10 gauge and i have been trying to figure out what the chokes are in the barrels. I have looked all of the gun for marking of any sort that would help me determine them but so far i have no luck on finding anything.
Is there a way to measure the barrel to get the choke size?

The easiest way would be to find someone with a choke guage.(gunshop-gunsmith)You can measure the inside diameter of the bores at the muzzle with calipers.10 guage full should measure .744 modified 759 and improved cyl. 769 0 -
good calipers will also work.
I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.0 -
Unless you have the tools, go to a smith or gun shop the charge should range from nothing to a token payment, and if your in doubt call in advance and ask them.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
Here is a webpage that gives all the particulars on choke measurements. http://www.colonialarms.com/chokespecs.html 0 -
