12 ga. eject jams
any help on what i can do about the spent shell not correctly ejecting..if using a lower brass skeet or target load it doesnt even get close to exitting..if you use a high brass load the old one will probably get out but the new one wont get quite up into the chamber..the gun is a daly 12 guage 2 3/4" or 3" semi-auto. i realize it is a inexpensive gun but its for a younger cousin just starting to turkey hunt...appreciate the help

sounds like your gun is set up for 3" mags and the mainspring is too stiff. slip a strong field load 2 3/4" 3 1/4 dram in it and see how it works. if youre gonna be hunting, try it with the actual shells youll hunt with. if youll be using good strong hunt loads, youll be glad you had that stiff spring in! let me know.

hey bobski,,you are talking about the spring just inside the forearm thats about a foot and a half or two feet in length when out of the gun.... 0 -
That would be the magazine spring. Mainspring is inside a tube in the buttstock. The tube also acts as the stock "bolt" or stud to hold the buttstock on.A good cleaning of the gas port holes in the barrel will correct most eject and feed problems. Hope this helps. 0 -
Hello jb123:
The good Captain is too kind. The only information that I
have heard is the 3 1/2" chambered guns have a tendency to short cycle. Heck, if you purchased it new, look into the lifetime
warranty. Good luck. 1010 -
just fyi,,its a non-ported barrel and 2 3/4 or 3 inch only. there are 2 springs in the gun,,a smaller longer spring inside the "tube" and is a little bigger than the dia. of the shell,,#2 is on the outside of the "tube" that the action of the bolt is against. 0 -
Charles Daly uses several different manufactures and models. Do you know which one you have? The ports i was refering to are inside the barrel and go into the ring that slips over the mag. tube. A model # would help. 0 -
trapp,,its a field hunter VR MC ......the 2 3/4 jam as well as the 3" lmk john those ports are clean... 0 -
I'm guessing a Benelli? Is the barrel marked 2 3/4" and 3"? Can you find one on the auction like it or post a pic? If you have a pic and can't post it, e-mail it to me. 0
