Anybody shoot the 6.5mm/284 Win ?
If you handload , what weight, make, bullets do you find that do the best job for accuracy at long range. ?

That depends heavily on the twist rate of your barrel. If you wish to acheive good long range results (600-1000+yds) then the barrel twist would be 1:8 preferably or no less than a 1:9. The 1:8 6.5MM barrels will stabilize the 140gr class of pills very well. The current IBS world record at 1000yds is held by the 6.5x284 with a 1:8 twist tube using the clinch river 147gr VLD's. My 6.5-06AI is putting the 140gr a-max pills into .2-.3moa groups from an 8 twist PacNor tube.
If your twist is 1:9 you may get a good stabilization of the 140-142SMK or 140 a-max. Any slower twist would be better served with the 120gr pills and less.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

As JustC mentioned above the Sierra 140-142gr and the 140gr Hornady A-Max are good. -- Berger Bullets makes a 140gr VLD that is a very accurate match grade bullet as well. As stated above it depends on your barrel twist and what your particular gun likes, but I've had good luck with all of the above in 6.5-06 with a 1-9" twist and 6.5-284 with a 1-8".....................good luck.......[8D] 0
