Winchester 1885 Hi wall and Low wall

Will some of you please tell me the differences between a Win. Hi Wall and Win. Low wall and dates of mfg. I have intrest in finding and old .22 Caliber Long Rifle Winchester 1885 and need some specifics to enable me to correctly search. Thanks for your help. Please write at - jclane40@yahoo.com

  The primary difference between a high-wall and a low-wall is the physical size (strength) of the frame. The Model 1885 single-shot was made in both the high-wall and low-wall with the 22 Long R chambering (most of which where Winder Muskets). Please contact me at Win1885@msn.com.
