New Trap Gun
I am in the market for a new trap gun. I haven't shot trap for 25 years and it is time to get back to the things I love. All of my 12ga shotguns are gone, passed down and moved on. I would like some ideas on what would be a good 12ga trap gun. I am looking for O/U and under $2500.

I use a Browning Citori Special Trap. Browning and Beretta are the most common shotguns I know about in the price range you mentioned. Welcome back to Trap Shooting. 0 -
I have a Citori Special Trap w/factory adj. comb.
Also has had a adj. buttplate installed professionally.
Gun is in 99+% condition. Gun is invector + and
comes with extra tubes.

for 2500.00 the market is wide open. dont overlook a 3200, 101, citori, or a nice import. w/o your personal tastes and habits posted here, narrowing one down will be hard. most posters will hover around cost as a determination for a 'good gun.' but a good gun is one that fits you right. if you have a long or short neck, or if your arms are long or short, or, how strong you are should effect choices. give some info on you to help us help you.

Bobski, I am just 5'10 180lbs with an average build and 47 yrs old. I work consruction so I think my strength is about average or a little above. The only shotgun I have left is a Ruger Red Label 20ga. and this is my Baby. This gun fits me so sweet it is the only one I didn't let go. I know that a trap gun will feel and fit totaly diff. than a field Rugar 20, I just thought I would share that with you. When I was younger I had a Browning BT99 single shot that fit quite well. I had a Remington TC Trap that Fit for crap and was soon down the road. My Weatherby O/U trap ( I can't remember the model) was the best fittin trap gun I ever used. My son still shoots my (excuse me, His) Win. Model 12 Trap. He lets me try it now and then (how nice) and I can still smoke-em with my (oops, his) Model 12. I had a Browning Citori and was not real happy with the fit and feel. Again that was 25 years ago that doesn't mean I will rule the Citori out. I also had a Win. 101 field grade that was my duck gun also nice. Any word on Remingtons new replacement for the 3200? Never had a chance to feel and shoot the 3200, always thought it was a Great looking gun. Love the spit barrel of the O/U 3200. 0 -

you can still find old weatherby traps NIB out there. i shot a winchester double diamond 2 bbl set trap combo. came with winchokes and cased. if you like high ribs look at them. new 3200's arent as good as the old ones. try a 3200 comp trap with m/c stock. youll never put it down. 0
