first thing i would guess is the hand is chipped off or broken. when you look at the frame under the firing pin hole, the hand reaches out to turn the cylinder, engaging the ratchet on the rear of the cylinder. if you have taken it apart, maybe the hand spring isnt in there right. ive done that before, and its real frustrating.

I never took it apart, so I'm guessin its broke.[:(]

Can I fix it myself, or do I need a gunsmith??

The handspring is at fault. After removing the sideplate screws, tap the gun (sideplate down)with a piece of wood and the sideplate will work loose and fall out. Don't pry it out. You should be able to see what's wrong.

After looking at the following picture, I can see that my problem is with the hand. When I disassemble the revolver, and can put pressure on the hand it will cycle correctly. However, When I remove my finger, the hand slips out and goes back to the same problem. Am I missing a spring or something?

If that doesn't work, just go here:

    Oh sorry,

I just understood everything. However, there is no hand spring. I'm gonna try to buy one.

In your diagram, the hand torsion spring should be pressing down on the hand pin. It's either the spring or the pin or they are disengaged.

Is there supposed to be a spring in order to keep the hand from moving out?

Yes, it is a straight wire spring in the trigger that bears down on the pin just above the pivot point of the hand. the trigger has to come out to replace it. If that pin in the hand is broken or missing then it and not the spring is the culprit.
