problem with GBer and 1st Gen Colt saa
I have some A-hole, fraxxian, emailing me about a first gen SAA I have for sale... he is accusing me of trying to rip someone off by advertising my SAA as a first gen gun when he thinks it's a second gen gun.
The serial number is 351XXX.
The reason this clown thinks it's a second gen because it's not a "black powder" frame gun... I tried explaining to this winner that all guns up to around 357XXX (from memory) are first gen guns and the frame config changed around 1898... the earlier ones commonly but incorrectly called black powder frames.
the auction is here http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=17179169
How do I advise GB that this idiot keeps emailing me with his slanderous comments?

Lighten up, Vic.
He hasn't slandered you; slander would be if you posted an item on this forum saying, "Neal is a thief!". THAT would be slander (if you couldn't prove that I am a thief). All he did was annoy you.
Simply reply to him: "I believe that my description is accurate. If you disagree, do not bid on my item."
That should end the matter.
By the way, nice looking gun & a great job of taking photos.

Second generation SAAs are all numbered with an SA after the number with no spaces.
An example is 14634SA. No SA,no second generation.0 -
Those case colors are awful bright for such an old gun. Was it re-case colored?

Although I agree with nmyers, the games this guy's playing might be more involved then you think.
Awhile back I had a excellent older model Rem. 1100, on the other auction. This guy e-mails me with a offer less then the starting price, I turned him down. He started sending me ugly e-mails accusing me of misrepresenting the shotgun ( He all but called me a crook ) and how he was going to notify the auction. This kept up for a while, but I sold the shotgun quick to another bidder as I had it priced right.

I just can't stand these loud mouth know-it-alls... especially when they're wrong.
Chris: The gun was never refinished... One owner, original, and pretty damn nice looking... nicest original one I've seen in 35 years! The colors show up so nicely in the pics because I used a very high megapixel camera with enough light so a flash wasn't needed... flash tends to kill the colors.

I question the grips on this 1928 Colt. Does the letter identify them as twp piece wooden? 0 -
