Kimbers
I own a Kimber Custom CDP II and would like to get an opinion on the differences between the Custom CDP II (5") and the Custom CDP Pro (4") ? How accurate is the Pro compared to the CDP II 5" ?,

The longer the sight radius you can get the greater the accuracy potential ... with all other things being equal.
With that said, the average shooter will most likely see little to no difference in accuracy as the pistol's capability is greater than the shooter's. No insult intended ... it's just a fact[:D]
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
Good timing for this post.
I went to range and shot two boxes of ammo thru their demo .45's. The first gun I shot was Kimber ProCarry HDII. Fantastic feel, sight acquisition, trigger, balance...everything. I then tried Kimber Custom full-size and expected everything to feel just as good if not better.
No dice.
The gun didn't balance as well or manage recoil. groups were noticeably larger.
Also tried HK USP compact, springfield, glock 21 and 36. Sig 220.
Choices would be Kimber procarry in stainless, Sig, Glock, HK, and Springfield way behind the others. That one never felt right.
This back to back to back comparison was amazing. the shop just kept handing me guns to shoot as long as I shot their $13/box ammo[B)].
The Pro Carry was easily the choice.
The Glock was the easiest to point and my first 3 were in the 10 ring.
I was surprised by the Glock.0
