New CZ w/kink in bolt ?

[?] Bought a new CZ 550 .243 with a bolt that shows a kink midway in the long portion that fits into the guide for the bolt action. I was going to put a scope on gun & was concerned about clearance of the bolt to the scope. When I inserted the bolt into the gun, I noted that there appeared to be a considerable amount of "slop" in the bolt as I pushed the bolt forward. I also noted that with the bolt engaged, you could visually see a distinct wave in the bolt as you looked at it. I could also feel a dent with my finger? Upon inspection of the factory box, I noted that this box had a severe kink it it also? I did not proceed to go any further. I am wondering if there is any possiblilty that the rifle's barrel may be slightly bent? Visual inspection does not show anything.

I don't like to complain about a new rifle to my dealer, however, I purchased the CZ by its reputation on accuracy. Who's responsable -
CZ, the shipper, the dealer or me? I visually inspected the rifle @ my dealer but I did not insert the bolt. I did comment that the box appeared w/a kink in it & dealer says that the shippers probable handled this box roughly?

Any suggestions?

    Unload it fast. It sounds like seriously damaged goods. I believe it's the dealer's liability since he pays for shipping and insurance.

    What appears bent exactly, the bolt body, extractor or bolt handle?
    All Mauser style bolts feel sloppy until there locked down, that's part of what makes the Mauser design so reliable.
    It's unlikely that the barrel is bent, unless you can see tire tracks on the box that is.

    Go back to your dealer and show him your concerns. For shipping damage to be the cause the box would have to be severely "whacked" and I suspect there would be more visible damage.

    You may have a manufacturing imperfection that is cosmetic only, but hey, you didn't pay for CZ having an "ugly parts" day. At the minimum, from what you've given us I'd say that a request for a new bolt would not be out of the question.

    Thanks for the comments. Took the CZ back to the dealer today. I showed him the bolt & put it in the receiver. He worked the bolt & with a "red face" he apologized. Since I have purchased over 25 firearms from him, he said he would call me when a new replacement gun arrives.

    The bolt on the CZ is not completely solid. It has a machined slot which runs from just in front of the bolt handle to just behind the extractor. This is the part that slides in the receiver rail and is not solid to the rest of the bolt. This is this where the kink is.
