sounds like excessive dry fireing has peened the chambers, why did you replace firing pin?? never dry fire a rimfire gun

The gun was my father's. Didn't have a firing pin, either spring wore out or something, just was missing everything. Any way to fix?

icdux1 is on the right track but thought maybe someone should point out that the RG guns are not noted for being "state of the art" precision. many parts such as mentioned as being replaced should be fitted to the gun on instalation. my best guess is that the firing pin is too long and has caused damage to the chamber mouth(s). this gun should be checked and test fired by a "smith" before any further attempt to load/shoot it. please bear in mind, GUNS CAN BE DANGEROUS and every responsible gun owner must minimize risk to himself & others around him whenever posible.

Be certain that model isn't chambered for .22 short cartridges.

I have an old RG handgun that's chambered for shorts only. This may be your problem.

Yes it is stamped/marked .22lr. I just spoke with the guy I bought the firing pin from, he used to work with these revolvers. Like the first reply to my post, the firing pin might be just a bit too long and from a combination of live firing and maybe dry firing the soft metal that was used with these had created a small burr on the cylinder causing the shells to not fit. Thanks for everyone's input!
